This note is in regards to our experience with Troy at Allweather Builders Ltd. He has been excellent to work with, answered all of our questions in a timely manner, and made suggestions on items that we would not have thought of otherwise. As you can imagine, this has been a stressful time for us working under tight deadlines, and he has definitely helped out with his professionalism, knowledge and most important, patience to answer our endless questions. We would gladly work with All Weather Builders again on another project.
Allweather Builders Ltd. in a word is Professionalism. Troy, the general contractor, communicated very well with us and down the line to the sub trades, which made for a seamless process through the various stages of construction. Allweather was able to find unique solutions and work with us to stay on budget and still keep the personalization of our home a high priority.
We happened upon Troy and our new home on a walk. Troy invited us in for a viewing and we immediately took to the home and Troy. We’ve found the work to be of excellent quality and any minor issues were addressed by Troy and his trades in a cordial, prompt and fair minded manner. In 2013 the Grizzly Paw Brewing Company embarked on a large multiphase expansion project to build a free standing commercial brewery and hospitality space. All-weather Builders was contracted for this project largely driven around their reputation for quality work and their experience and strength around timber frame construction. The first phase saw the lot cleared, foundations poured and alternate solutions to steel provided by Troy and his team resulting in the award brewery we reside in today. Troy was highly engaged throughout the entire process, overseeing the construction and supporting trades that were required to complete a project of this scope. Like most projects, there were curve balls thrown throughout each phase which Troy was invaluable in finding alternate solutions while maintaining the spirit of the design and the required budget guidelines. The final completion of the landmark design and technical timber frame construction has resulted in accolades from both the design and brewing communities throughout North America. When we embarked on phase 2 of the project in the fall of 2018 there was never a question of who would we would partner with. All Weather Builders was a key contributor in not only the construction of the second floor mezzanine but also coordinated the multitudes of trades required for the infrastructure upgrades and design adjustments. As project manager, Troy always ensured regular communication and open dialogue took place between all parties involved. At times Troy would be required to modify plans or direction due to unforeseen obstacles encountered with positive results and in some cases improved functional outcomes. When designing the hospitality space Troy was heavily involved in both the aesthetics and operational designs, drawing on his experience building iconic properties in the Bow Valley. All Weather Builders continues to remain a valued partner assisting the company with developments in our other brew pub location in downtown Canmore, managing a complete renovation in 2017. Today our company continues to expand and grow with the assistance of Troy and his company from beer tank installations, environmental system improvements and brand experience tools. We have grown to consider All Weather Builders a part of the family at the Grizzly Paw Brewing Company and would encourage other future developers to partner with Troy and team.

I was introduced to Troy of AllWeather Builders by a local realtor in late 2014. Our family was interested in a project Troy was about to start, a duplex on a sloped lot with unobstructed views of the mountains. Troy was very accommodating in changing some of the blueprint design and gave us full access to his architect. Once the project began Troy would always provide regular updates and even the smallest changes were communicated well in advance. Project was finished on time and on budget and of high quality by Christmas 2015.
I was one of the original owners of a four unit condo built in 2011 by Troy Weatherhog and Allweather Builders. The building is well appointed and all of the owners were happy with the construction. Stories keep surfacing as different owners talk to lenders and insurance agents that Allweather is regarded as one of the better builders in the Bow Valley. Some minor construction defects inevitably arise. However, years after any warrantee has expired Troy has remained willing to remedy any problem he feels is related to the original construction. Obviously, Allweather takes pride in its work and stands behind its product. This is very reassuring for me as an owner of an Allweather-built condo.
